hi all.
i wanted to introduce myself, name's kevin, 35yrs old been veggie since i was 17, my wife and went vegan about 10 years ago, we're raising a 5yr old vegan daughter. i originaly went veg cause i wanted to be like the cool older skate punks when i was growing up in huntington beach CA, guess it stuck. better that than some of the other things those degenerates got up to... the fams looking to come out of our hermetic shell a little so i thought i'd take the plunge and try to connect w/some like minded individuals, this seemed like a good place to start. thx for reading

Hi and welcome Kevin! smile  Hopefully we'll get some more people along here someday... have you been to any of the NWVeg meetups or potlucks yet?  I haven't yet, but I hope to do that also and meet more people...

Hi all! I am new to this forum. I am located in Salem Oregon and my teen daughter and I have been in here in Oregon since 2004 and we love it so far. There is so much more to explore and I look forward to each new adventure! smile

hi, my name is deanna and i live in sw portland. am 28 and have been vegan about 6 months, and was a vegetarian for a couple years before going vegan. i'm excited to get more involved and hopefully meet some more people with same lifestyle and of course palate preference. i am doing the walk this saturday. anyone else doing it?

So, this board doesn't seem extremely lively, but I guess I'll introduce myself anyways.  It'd be great to meet some like-minded people. 

I graduated from college last spring and am working for a CPA firm, studying for my CPA license.  I grew up in a smallish town in southeastern Washington, but have been in the Portland area for just over 4 years and plan on staying here indefinitely.  I've been a vegetarian for about 8 1/2 years.  My goal is to eventually become vegan, but it's been a very gradual process. 

I stumbled across this through some random googling, and was intrigued by the master vegetarian class that's starting up soon.  Unfortunately it's starting up along with tax season, so I can't take part this spring, so I'm hoping it'll be repeated in a different time of year!

Welcome to the board! Too bad the MVP will coincide with tax season, but I'm quite sure it will be offered again. The first one, which I attended in the fall, was a great success. Meanwhile, you might check out the Northwest VEG dineout and/or potluck this month. The potluck info is on the calendar page. The dineout info will be added soon. Are you already getting NW VEG emails, or would you like to be added to the list? Happy New Year!

yo.. so u all seem pretty rad and i thought Id add my info to the page.  I am 20...grew up in North East portland and also southern Oregon and now live in Tualatin.  I love organic food and of course vegan and vegetarian food.  I am Studying Food and nutrition at George Fox University and hope to someday open my own organic business. big_smile I am super excited to meet new people and make new friendships.

I am also new to this forum, my name Jason Price. I am from the Bay Area in California. I have been involved in muscle building and exercise for 4 years now. I am passionate about fitness and love every aspect of it. Eating healthy, exercising,  hanging out with friends and family, and  writing are some of my favorite  past times.
