Both clinical and biomedical research support the involvement of food in just about every malady we may experience. Whether a minor upset stomach or a serious life threatening diagnosis we can be certain food is involved in the cause or cure. Tonight we will explore the impact of food in the cause and treatment of our most common chronic conditions. Dr Gobble will share with you the role of food in conditions such as Cancer, Diabetes, and Chronic Kidney disease. He will discuss simple plant-based solutions for successful weight management, optimal physical conditioning and allergy treatment. In addition, his wife Lynn will share some tasty Plant-based Recipes and Meal Options and her cookbook with the same title. Experience the mouth-watering flavors and ease of preparation of Lentil Barley Stew with Spinach and Crunchy Broccoli Coleslaw from Lynn’s cookbook.
John Gobble is founder and CEO of Lifestyle Medicine Group a provider of medical nutrition therapy and therapeutic lifestyle services. He’s also author and developer of technical and educational solutions for health behavior change. John earned a Doctor of Public Health (DrPH) in Preventive Care and a Master of Public Health (MPH) in both Public Health Nutrition and Health Education from Loma Linda University School of Public Health.
Lynn Gobble is a watercolor, mixed-media and culinary artist.
