Enhancing Health with Plant-Based Nutrition is a golden opportunity for you to find out the latest information on plant-based diets with respect to clinical nutrition, the effects of diet on chronic disease prevention and control, and on designing an optimum plant-based diet. Interest in plant-based diets is growing, and Portland, Oregon has become a center for that developing interest. This is a professional conference, offering continuing education credits for many medical professionals, but others with strong interests in health and diet issues are welcome to attend.

Michael Klaper, M.D.

Renowned teacher, lecturer, and author of successful books and videos on plant-based nutrition. Dr. Klaper is a 38-year physician and the co-founder of the Institute of Nutrition Education and Research.

Milton Mills, M.D.

Internal Medicine Physician at Fairfax Hospital, Virginia. Dr. Mills is a Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine (PCRM) member physician and a Stanford University School of Medicine graduate.

Presentation Title: How Colon Physiology Affects Our Metabolism and Mood

Brenda Davis, R.D.

Registered dietitian and nutritionist, Brenda is a leader in her field, an internationally acclaimed speaker, and co-author of seven books on plant-based nutrition.

Michael Greger, M.D.

Physician, author, and internationally recognized professional speaker on a number of important public health issues. Dr. Greger is also licensed as a general practitioner specializing in clinical nutrition.

Gordon Saxe, M.D., Ph.D.

Assistant professor in the Department of Family and Preventive Medicine and a member of the Moores Cancer Center at the University of California, San Diego. Dr. Saxe received his M.P.H. in Nutrition at Tulane University, his Ph.D. in Epidemiology at the University of Michigan, and his M.D. at Michigan State University. Dr. Saxe's research has focused on the role of diet and lifestyle factors in breast and prostate cancer.

Presentation Title: Effects of a Plant-Based Diet on Disease Progression in Recurrent Prostate Cancer
