Anne Goldfeld, Volunteer Coordinator

Northwest VEG’s mission is to educate and encourage people to make plant-based choices for a healthy, sustainable, and compassionate world. You can help us fulfill this mission as a volunteer! Here are a few of our greatest needs:

Eastside Potluck Coordinator
Do you love Northwest VEG potlucks? Here is your opportunity to be in charge of the fun on the third Sunday of every odd numbered month. The coordinator provides an organized, safe, and enjoyable eating experience for people while organizing set-up, clean-up, and presenters with the assistance of additional volunteers. Time commitment: about five hours per month in January, March, May, July, and September.

Race for the Animals Support
There are many ways to help even if you’re not running or walking on Saturday, June 25.
  • Poster distribution in late May
  • Day of event registration
  • Food prep
  • Community outreach champion (tabling)
  • Set-up, clean-up, direct folks on the course
  • Water station monitors
Public Relation/Media Guru
Help share Northwest VEG’s offerings with the Portland metro area and beyond! This essential role requires some experience, a fair amount of time, good writing skills, and a strong commitment. We especially need someone to fill this role for VegFest between now and September.

VegFest Volunteers
Mark your calendars for VegFest on September 17 and 18! We need over 300 volunteers to make our seventh annual VegFest a smashing success. We’ll also need volunteers to help set up on September 16. One 3-hour shift earns you free admission to BOTH days of VegFest.
