"It changed my life!" These are the words we hear, time and time again, from people who have completed VEG 101. This 6-week course is one of a kind in that it offers lectures from experts; cooking demos with delicious samples; and a friendly, casual, and supportive atmosphere in which to learn. The lectures provide an excellent grounding in topics such as health, nutrition, factory farming, environmental impact, and related subjects. The cooking demonstrations include grains, legumes, tofu, tempeh, seitan, and more. To register, please visit nwveg.org/veg101 and click on the "registration open" button. The cost is just $55 or $25 for students/low income. Classes will be held on Sundays starting Oct. 7 in Beaverton. Click here for more information. Special opportunity: Northwest VEG members can receive a $10 discount off their registration fee. Become a member today!
