|5th Annual Enhancing Health with Plant-Based Nutrition Medical Conference |

On Friday, September 26, Northwest VEG and Adventist Medical Center will host the 5th annual Enhancing Health with Plant-Based Nutrition Professional Conference where experts on diet and nutrition from around the country will be examining the impact of plant-based nutrition on health and chronic disease prevention and treatment. We are excited to announce that we will be expanding to a new location this year. Join us in the Oregon Ballroom at the Oregon Convention Center for this groundbreaking conference that is aimed at doctors, nurses, dietitians, naturopaths, and all other health professionals who would like to find out the latest information about plant-based diets with respect to clinical nutrition, chronic disease prevention and control, and designing an optimum plant-based diet. 6.25 Continuing Education Credits will be provided for health professionals and a gourmet plant-based lunch will also be featured.

Dr. Joel Fuhrman is a board-certified family physician, New York Times best-selling author, nutritional researcher and internationally recognized expert on nutrition and natural healing.

Caroline Trapp is the director of diabetes education and care with the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine (PCRM) in Washington, D.C.
- Kent Thornburg, PhD Uncovering the Roots of Disease: Epigenetics and Diet
Dr Kent Thornburg is the director of the OHSU Bob and Charlee Moore Institute for Nutrition & Wellness, and professor of medicine at OHSU.
- Sharon Palmer, RD The Plant-Based Prescription for Inflammation
Sharon Palmer is a registered dietitian with 16 years of health care experience, and the author of The Plant-Powered Diet: The Lifelong Eating Plan for Achieving Optimal Health.
- Sara Love, ND and Wendy Abraham, ND The Gut Flora as a Forgotten Organ and How Plants Can Restore its Function
Dr Love is a naturopathic physician at the Multnomah Family Care Center. Dr Abraham is a practicing ND and board member of the Oregon Association of Naturopathic Physicians.
