Northwest VEG's two popular courses, the Master Vegetarian Program and VEG 101, will return again this fall.

The Master Vegetarian Program, modeled after Master Gardener and Master Recycler programs, is a 9-week in-depth course with lectures/discussions on topics ranging from health and nutrition to animal welfare and impact on the environment. Classes will be on Wednesday evenings, starting Oct. 7. There will also be two Saturday field trips. For more complete information, please visit the Master Vegetarian Program online.

VEG 101 is a six-week course with several of the same lectures, plus cooking demonstrations (including samples) each week. Classes will be held on Sunday evenings, starting on Oct. 4 at Whole Foods downtown. For more information, please visit VEG 101 classes online.

Registration is now open for both series. To register, please contact Susan at or 503-521-1941. The cost is $50 for either series, or $25 for students/low income.
