  • Multnomah Friends Meeting House 4312 Southeast Stark Street Portland, OR, 97215 United States (map)

Winnie Onkoba, a Kenyan attorney, is setting up a non-profit organization in Kenya that will provide veterinary services to animals as well as set up a shelter for homeless animals and animals in need of protection and basic care. Ever Chinoda, a Zimbabwean attorney, founded Speak Out for Animals, which aims to protect animals through the legal system. Join us at May's Portland potluck where these two animal protection pioneers will talk about their experiences in dealing with animal welfare issues in Africa and the work they are doing or planning to do with the knowledge they have gained from their recent participation in Lewis & Clark's Animal Law LLM. program.
