Portland Potluck and Talk: Food, Planetary Health & the Ideal Diet

On the day before Earth Day, join us for food and friends at our monthly Portland potluck, and then hear Dr. Russell Marz talk on Food, Sustainability, Planetary Health & the Ideal Diet. We’ll hear about the effects that our food choices have on our water, air and land resources, and how the environment impacts our own health. The discussion will outline the optimal diet, including the “Blue Zones”, calorie restriction, and the top foods in the world to eat for health and longevity.

Russell Marz received his naturopathic doctorate from the National University of Naturopathic Medicine, where he later joined the faculty. Currently he is the Medical Director at the Tabor Hill Clinic. Come to the potluck at 5 pm, to Dr. Marz talk at 6:30, or both.

Please bring a plant-based (no animal products, including honey) main dish, salad, or dessert; a card listing its ingredients; and plates and utensils for your use. Need plant-based ideas?
