What can a person do to make a difference for the environment in their daily life?
What does recent scientific research say about the environmental impacts of food choices? Julie will examine the impacts of our food from production through consumption and discuss the science to help answer questions and dispel myths about food and sustainability.
Dr. Julie Sinistore is a sustainability consultant with a global engineering firm where she conducts Life Cycle Assessments (LCAs) on products and services from food to electronics. She holds a PhD in Biological Systems Engineering, and an MS in Agroecology both from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a BS in Natural Resource Management from Rutgers University. She taught courses in life cycle thinking and sustainable product design at The University of California at Berkeley.
