Portland’s cruelty-free fragrance expo, coming to the iconic Jupiter Hotel on October 5, 2025

As you know, it's not always possible to find products that align with your values, so this event will bring together conscientious fragrance consumers and producers for a first-of-its-kind expo in the Portland market. AromaKIND is an opportunity for indie perfumers and other scent-based artists to showcase and sell their cruelty-free, vegan products.

AromaKIND will feature independent perfumers from the Pacific Northwest, a perfume swap, raffle prizes, vegan snacks, and presentations on ethical perfumery. Admission to this event is free. Please join us!

    Northwest VEG is co-sponsoring with Try Vegan PDX: a nonprofit organization committed to creating community and helping Portlanders transition to a more ethically conscious lifestyle. You can learn more about them at tryveganpdx.org. Try Vegan PDX has hosted maker and craft fairs in the past to spotlight local artists. This will be the first time hosting a fragrance-specific event. Animal testing is a cruel reality that is often overlooked by perfume enthusiasts, and even some dedicated vegans. This event will uplift local artists from the PNW and surrounding regions while showing attendees that the most beautiful fragrances are cruelty-free.

The Venue

Jupiter NEXT provides a stylish, urban oasis complemented by city views and a vibrant atmosphere. The Jupiter Next is located at 900 E Burnside St, Portland, OR, 97214. The Expo will be in the beautiful Arium Ballroom and, if the weather cooperates, the adjacent patio space. Jupiter NEXT is a modern, upscale event venue and boutique hotel in Portland's central eastside, offering contemporary event spaces and hotel accommodations.  

AromaKIND will feature independent perfumers from the Pacific Northwest, a perfume swap, raffle prizes, vegan snacks, and presentations on ethical perfumery. Admission is free, with a suggested donation encouraged to support local vegan and cruelty-free organizations.  

  • Indie Perfumers: Discover and purchase fragrances from a diverse range of cruelty-free and vegan makers from the Pacific Northwest. 

  • Perfume Swap: Bring a fragrance you're done with and swap it for something new. 

  • Raffle: Enter a raffle with prizes from the fragrance world to support a good cause. 

  • Vegan Snacks: Enjoy vegan treats and sweet treats at the event. 

  • Educational Presentations: Learn about the art and ethics of perfumery from local makers and Northwest VEG. 

  • Community: Connect with others who share a passion for ethical and compassionate beauty and wellness.
