What to expect in 2026
New Course: starting at OMSI and going up and down the Willamette River crossing both the Tilikum and Hawthorne bridges
Completely paved, with no street crossing
All Are Welcome: Kids, seniors, strollers, and leashed dogs are encouraged to join the fun. It’s not about speed—it’s about celebrating compassion together.
Costume Contest: Get festive! Dress up for the Tofurky-themed costume contest and show off your holiday spirit.
Meet the Cause: Representatives from local farm animal sanctuaries—the event’s beneficiaries—will be present to connect with participants and share their mission.
Why Trot?
The Tofurky Trot is more than just a fun run—it's a meaningful way to kick off the holiday with heart. Your registration fee helps support Northwest VEG outreach and local farm animal sanctuaries, providing food, shelter, and care for rescued animals.
Organized by Northwest VEG, this annual event promotes the benefits of a plant-based lifestyle while building a warm and welcoming community of compassionate individuals.

Important Registration Information
When you register, RunSignUp will ask you to give your birth date or the birth date of the person you are registering. For our Trot, it uses this solely to calculate the correct price for the registration at check-out. If you are uncomfortable listing a birth date for privacy reasons, feel free to list the birth date as January 1 of whatever year will provide the correct price of registration based on age (free for 6 and under, $10 discount for ages 7-17)
T-shirts and Sweatshirts. You can pre-order this year’s t-shirts and hooded sweatshirt through October 25. A limited number of t-shirts and sweatshirts will be available for purchase at the packet pickup (date and location to be announced) or on the day of the race. Some vintage Tofurky Trot t-shirts will also be available on the day of the race. CALLING ALL VOLUNTEERS!
We need approximately 60 volunteers to help the morning of the Trot or to help publicize the Trot beforehand. Volunteer roles include positions that are indoor-only and may be done seated; positions that require walking the course; positions that are a mix of indoor and outdoor help that require some limited walking, but no additional physical tasks.

Tofurky Trot Course 2026
TROT DAY SCHEDULE
This year we will be starting in waves so as to not overcrowd paths at any one time.
7:30-8:30 AM Trot check-in and same day registration. Enjoy the music of Boka Marimba starting at 8
9:00 AM: First wave takes off from OMSI right at the start of the Tilikum Bridge
9:05 AM: Second wave starts
9:10 AM: Third wave starts
9:15 AM: Fourth wave starts
Post-Trot: Enjoy free 100% plant-based bites and the music from our DJ
Boka Marimba will be playing before the start of the Tofurky Trot.
PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION AND PARKING
The Orange MAX line, Portland Streetcar, and Trimet bus routes 4, 9, 17, and FX2 all will be running and can drop you off within feet of the start line. We encourage people to take public transportation or carpool when possible.
OMSI has 601 parking spots. Parking is $5 for the day, payable on your phone through Passport Parking.
