We usually associate chile peppers with PAIN, but did you know they have some amazing health benefits? From weight loss to fighting cancer, these little pods really DO pack a punch. Join us for a vegan potluck on Sunday, March 10th at the Orenco UU Church, and following the potluck, hear local vegan food blogger Chuck Underwood talk about his favorite spice and also about his new cookbook Comfort Food Classics. The potluck starts at 5, and Chuck’s presentation begins at 6. You can come to either or both. This is a great opportunity to meet other vegans in your community, learn about vegan cooking, and share recipes. You can also check out Chuck’s Brand New Vegan website and recipes by clicking here.
All our food is plant-based (no meat, cheese or other dairy, eggs, honey, or other animal products), and we ask that you fill out an ingredients list to put with the dish. It’s up to you to bring your plates and utensils.
If you come alone, figure the amount to serve 4-6; and increase for each additional person in your party/family. The Orenco Unitarian Universalist Fellowship is hosting Northwest VEG with this event.
