NW VEG Westside Potluck and Vegan-Themed Films

  • West Hills Unitarian Universalist Fellowship 8470 Southwest Oleson Road Portland, OR, 97223 United States (map)

Have great food and meet new friends at our monthly vegan potluck. Then after the potluck, join us foe a discussion about inspiring vegan films and documentaries. Feel free to join in and share your opinion on topics such as:

  • What are the best and most inspiring movies to watch?

  • Which of the 7 full-length movies and 4 shorts that we are showing at the Northwest VegFest would you most like to see?

  • Which would be a good documentary for people wanting to improve their health?

As a side note, famous filmmaker and producer Kip Andersen is coming to VegFest, and we will be showing all four of the documentaries he produced: Cowspiracy: The Sustainability Secret (2014), What the Health (2017), Seaspiracy (2021), and Christspiracy (2024). More information at https://nwveg.org/vegfest.

Come to the potluck at 5, the film discussion at 6:15, or both. If you come for the potluck, please bring a plant-based (no meat, dairy, honey, or other animal products) main dish, salad, or dessert; a card listing its ingredients; and plates and utensils for your use. If you come alone, figure the amount to serve 4-6; increase the amount 4 servings for each additional person in your party/family.
