More about the speakers:
Shauna Sherick is the Founder & President of Wildwood Farm Sanctuary & Wildlife Preserve and a certified veterinary technician. In 1996 she began volunteering as a veterinary technician at the Portland Audubon Society Wildlife Care Center and earned certification through the International Wildlife Rehabilitation Council to become licensed in wildlife rehabilitation for the state of Oregon. In 2012, wanting to combine her love of veterinary medicine with her passion for helping farm animals, wildlife, and nature, she founded Wildwood Farm Sanctuary & Preserve. Shauna has worked on several Oregon animal welfare legislative initiatives and works closely with the Yamhill County Soil & Water Conservation District.
Elise Wolf is the Director and permitted wildlife rehabilitator for Native Bird Care, an avian rescue center in Central Oregon. Elise has been doing avian rescue for over 14 years. They specialize in songbirds, perching birds, shorebirds, and waterbirds and care for most other species, except for raptors and owls. Native Bird Care is an entirely volunteer and nonprofit organization. Their website and Facebook pages are sought out by people across the United States and as far away as Australia. They provide a wealth of information on wild birds and how to care for them. Find out more at: http://www.nativebirdcare.org/
