Join Us for the Annual Compassionate Thanksgiving Potluck!

This Thanksgiving, why not celebrate with compassion at the heart of your holiday meal? We invite you to join us for the Annual Compassionate Thanksgiving Potluck—a joyous gathering where kindness, community, and plant-based goodness take center stage. It’s the perfect opportunity to connect with old friends, make new ones, and enjoy a delicious feast that’s kind to animals and the planet.

Mark your calendars for Sunday, November 16, and bring the whole family! There will be fun activities for the kids, so everyone—big and small—can join in the celebration. We’ll be gathering at Oaks Park in Portland to share this special meal, so don’t miss out on the chance to enjoy a cruelty-free Thanksgiving with us!

What to Bring

We’re keeping it simple but delicious—just bring a dish that’s free from animal products (no meat, dairy, eggs, or honey). Whether it’s a family favorite or something new you’ve been wanting to try, we’d love to have you contribute! The Tofurky Company is generously providing enough roasts for everyone to enjoy a slice or two of this festive favorite.

Main Dish, Side Dish, Salad, or Dessert: You can bring whichever dish you prefer, just be sure it serves 8 people if you’re attending solo. For each additional family member (except small children), please add 4 servings.
Ingredient Labels: Help others know what’s in your dish by writing out the ingredients on a card and placing it by your dish.
Bring Your Own Dining Gear: Don’t forget your plates, bowls, silverware, cups, and serving utensils!

Attendance is Free for Northwest VEG Members

We are suggesting a $5 donation for adults and $1 for children under 6 years of age
The donation we are suggesting is used to cover the cost of renting the space, so your support is greatly appreciated. Please consider a larger donation to support this community building event and all of the outreach we do to educate the public about the benefits of a vegan lifestyle.
