We are honored to have Jack Norris, one of the powerhouses of the vegan movement, as our presenter following our March potluck. Jack is a registered dietitian, co-author of the instrumental book Vegan for Life, and a co-founder of Vegan Outreach, one of the most influential advocacy groups now working worldwide. Jack has previously been a presenter at our Northwest Health and Nutrition Conference
As a dietitian, Jack concentrates on making sure that vegans stay healthy. His talk for us, “Nutrition Tips for Vegans”, is a great opportunity to learn and to ask questions.
Jack’s presentation will begin at 6:15 pm, following the Northwest VEG potluck at 5 pm. Jack will be participating remotely via Zoom, but we will project him and his presentation on a large screen and have a camera and microphone so attendees can interact directly.
If you would like to attend but cannot come in person, you can attend via this Zoom link: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/85715667850. You will be in listen-only mode for most of the presentation, but should be able to join in the Q&A at the end.
The monthly Northwest VEG vegan potluck will precede Jack’s presentation, starting at 5:00 pm. You can come for the potluck, for Jack’s presentation, or both. For the potluck, please bring a plant-based (no meat, dairy, honey, or other animal products) main dish, salad, or dessert; a card listing its ingredients; and plates and utensils for your use. If you come alone, figure the amount to serve 4-6; increase the amount 4 servings for each additional person in your party/family.
