Hope During Wartime

  • First Unitarian Church 1226 Southwest Salmon Street Portland, OR, 97205 United States (map)

Meet sisters Marta and Oksana, founders of the Lviv Vegan Kitchen in western Ukraine.  When war broke out, they decided to stay in a dangerous situation and create a group that feeds hundreds of free vegan meals daily to war refugees and Ukrainians on the front lines. Come hear their heroic story and see photos of their inspiring life during wartime.

Come at 12:00 noon and enjoy vegan food and snacks provided by Organically Grown Co., Rubinette, Portland French Bakery, Charlie’s Produce, New Seasons Market, and vegan ice cream provided by Earthly Gourmet and Northwest VEG. Marta and Oksana’s presentation begins at 12:30.

Seating is limited. Registration is suggested. Register here.

This is a free event, but if you want to support their work, the suggested donation is $5-$20 per person at the door. All funds raised will go to support their amazing work.
